He is a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry's Artificial Intelligence Task Force. Before DeepMind, he was a Machine Learning Engineer at Google Cloud. My name is Dao Ho, I am a Senior Data Scientist at Albertsons. My current focus is personalization. At Albertsons, I have worked on several personalization models such as Buy It Again (ranking past purchases), embedding models for our products and customers. In collaboration with Ankita, I have been working on building a Wide & Deep Neural Network model for recommendations. Before Albertsons, I worked at a research lab for GAC, a Chinese car manufacture, building models to monitor the batteries of 30,000 EVs. Prior to that, I worked at a fintech company modeling market conditions. And finally, I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Ph.D. degree in Physics.

Professor

Diego Klabjan is a professor at Northwestern University, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences. He is also Founding Director, Master of Science in Analytics and Director, Center for Deep Learning. His work is focused on machine learning, deep learning and analytics (modeling, methodologies, theoretical results) with concentration in finance, insurance, sports, and bioinformatics. Professor Klabjan has led projects with large companies such as Intel, Baxter, Allstate, Anthem, and many others. He is also a co-founder of Videspan, LLC after successfully starting Opex Analytics, a Coupa company.

Ledion Lico is a highly experienced IT/Data professional and researcher, working as a data scientist at Paychex. In his current role he has worked on a variety of machine learning and deep learning projects including job title normalization, call transcript data analytics, customer segmentation, growth prediction, and others. Having previously worked as an NLP researcher at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Ledion has studied and researched the most advanced methods utilizing deep learning in NLP. Prior to Paychex, he worked as an IT manager for several years, dealing with various business data processes and platforms. Ledion has a MS degree in Data Science from the University of Rochester and a PhD in Information Technology from the Polytechnic University of Tirana. He has published several papers regarding the utilization of Machine Learning in customer behavior analysis and prediction.

James McCaffrey, who annually leads the full-day deep learning workshop at Machine Learning Week, works for Microsoft Research in Redmond, Wash. James has a PhD in cognitive psychology and computational statistics from the University of Southern California, a BA in psychology, a BA in applied mathematics, and an MS in computer science. James learned to speak to the public while working at Disneyland as a college student, and he can still recite the entire Jungle Cruise ride narration from memory.

I've also been recognized as a Google Developer Expert and Google Woman Techmaker.

Dan works as the Head of Machine Learning at Abnormal Security, where he builds cybercrime detection systems to keep people and businesses safe. Cybercrime is always changing as attackers innovate, and the detection organization at Abnormal Security must stay ahead of these innovations. As the Head of Machine Learning, Dan works to optimize the detection organization's ability to anticipate these innovations, iterate and improve.
Before joining Abnormal Dan worked at Twitter: first as an ML researcher working on recommendation systems, and then as the engineering manager for the web ads machine learning team. Before Twitter Dan built smartphone sensor algorithms at TrueMotion and Computer Vision systems at the Serre Lab. Dan's PhD at the University of Oxford focused on the applications of Category Theory to Machine Learning.

David Talby is the Chief Technology Officer at John Snow Labs, helping companies apply artificial intelligence to solve real-world problems in healthcare and life science. David is the creator of Spark NLP the world's most widely used natural language processing library in the enterprise. He has extensive experience building and running web-scale software platforms and teams – in startups, for Microsoft's Bing in the US and Europe, and to scale Amazon's financial systems in Seattle and the UK. Evan Wimpey was a Financial Management Officer in the Marine Corps and an Operations Associate at Goldman Sachs prior to joining Elder Research as a Data Scientist. He holds master's degrees in Economics from East Carolina University and in Analytics from North Carolina State University. He is currently the Director of Strategic Analytics at Elder Research.
